Radio Signet Drops Podcast, Becomes Forum Community

by Fusionx on May.02, 2009, under RadioXI

rsbutton Yesterday Kendash posted up on the Radio Signet forums to inform us that they will no longer be producing a Final Fantasy XI podcast.

Our podcast endeavor was short lived mainly because of the time constraints of the hosts. We honestly bit off more than we could chew with this project mainly because our ambitions for the media experience were so high that it was turing into a full time gig.

PFA and LBR will remain the leaders in this new media genre and I have the utmost respect for the efforts they put forth every day in maintaining and expanding their communities and their product. I’ve experienced first hand, the energy drain involved in building (let alone maintaining) such a community. Hats off to them and their fanbase for keeping it going for as long as they have with such success.

While it is sad to see another FFXI podcast come and go, it should be noted that Radio Signet is not shutting down just yet! As of right now, they plan to keep the website up to serve as a forum community for as long as people want to use it.
